The Bachelor of Arts in Black Studies at Georgetown University’s College of Arts & Sciences is an interdisciplinary program exploring the intellectual, historical, cultural, economic, political, religious, literary, scientific, and social ideas, institutions, movements, and practices of Black people in the United States, Africa, and the diaspora. Students study Black culture, history, and experience through critical and creative lenses, choosing one of three concentrations: Global Race and Ethnicity (GRE), Race, Space, and Public Policy (RSP), or Creativity, Design, and Emerging Forms (CDE). The curriculum includes coursework across various disciplines aiming to equip students for educational and career success, and emphasizes justice and discourse across cultures.
