The Culture and Politics (CULP) major at Georgetown University's Walsh School of Foreign Service is an interdisciplinary program dedicated to understanding the complex interplay between culture, identity, power, and global inequality. The program is flexible, allowing students to design their own curriculum around a self-chosen thematic concentration with foundational and core courses. Coursework spans history, technology, language, geography, media, and more, and prepares students for careers in international development, nonprofit organizations, journalism, academia, law, and public service. Majors develop analytical, ethical, and cross-cultural skills necessary for navigating global challenges and advancing social justice. The degree culminates in a Bachelor of Science in Foreign Service (BSFS).
