The Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) at Georgetown University's Berkley School of Nursing is a traditional four-year direct-entry, campus-based undergraduate program. Students begin hands-on clinical experiences in their first year and accumulate over 800 total clinical, lab, simulation, and experiential hours throughout the curriculum. The program emphasizes critical clinical judgment, wellness, evidence-based practice, patient safety, and diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging. Students refine their clinical skills at state-of-the-art facilities such as the O’Neill Family Foundation Clinical Simulation Center and Verstandig Pavilion at MedStar Georgetown University Hospital. Graduates are prepared for the NCLEX-RN exam and for careers or graduate study in nursing. The BSN program is grounded in Georgetown's Jesuit values of cura personalis, emphasizing care for the whole person and service to the common good. Accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education and approved by the District of Columbia Board of Nursing, the BSN program produces high-achieving alumni who enter diverse health sectors and leadership roles.
