This program, offered entirely in English at the Université de Montréal's School of Optometry, is the only Canadian master's degree focused on visual impairment intervention. Students gain advanced skills to provide rehabilitation services to individuals with visual impairments, engage in applied and clinical research, and develop expertise in public education and environmental accessibility. The curriculum covers orientation and mobility, vision rehabilitation therapy, and low vision, with a person-centered, interdisciplinary approach. Internships can be completed in Canada or internationally. Graduates are prepared for careers in rehabilitation, education, and advocacy for people living with visual impairment.
