The Bachelor of Arts in Political Communication at the Columbian College of Arts and Sciences, George Washington University, is the first program of its kind in the United States. Students examine how mass media, the internet, and emerging information and communication technologies impact political processes domestically and globally. The curriculum combines political science, communication studies, digital media production, data analysis, and research methodology. Students are guided by faculty who are both accomplished academics and industry practitioners, and benefit from practical experiences such as internships with leading media and political organizations in Washington, D.C. and beyond. Graduates pursue careers in journalism, political campaigns, public affairs, policy analysis, and media production.
