The Master of Science in Electrical and Computer Engineering at TUM’s School of Computation, Information and Technology provides advanced scientific and technical training in core areas such as automation and robotics, embedded systems, communications, power engineering, microelectronics, and more. Students design their own specialization by selecting at least 3 modules (minimum 15 credits) from one of the research-aligned core areas. The curriculum integrates theoretical knowledge, practical internships, elective modules (including interdisciplinary fields), and a research seminar. The final semester is devoted to the master’s thesis. The program qualifies graduates for careers in research or industry, and develops skills in designing, analyzing, and deploying complex electrical and computer systems. The program is offered in German, with coursework beginning in either winter or summer semester.
