The Master of Science in Agricultural Biosciences at the Technical University of Munich School of Life Sciences is an international English-taught program focused on equipping students with a mechanistic understanding of the biological processes underlying agricultural and horticultural crop and livestock production. The curriculum integrates molecular, biochemical, physiological, genetic, and genomic concepts with quantitative and computational methods, preparing graduates to address challenges such as food security, resource conservation, and climate change. During the first year, students complete five compulsory modules (Physiology, Plant and Animal Cell Biology, Immunology: Crop and Livestock Health and Disease, Genetics and Genomics, Statistical Computing and Data Analysis), followed by elective laboratory and research modules. The third semester includes a 'mobility window' for international exchange or research internships. Graduates are qualified for employment in research, industry, or international organizations related to agriculture, life sciences, and biotechnology.
