The Master of Science in Agrosystem Sciences at the Technical University of Munich (TUM) School of Life Sciences is a research-oriented graduate program focusing on agricultural production systems—including the interaction between soils, crops, livestock, technology, environment, and society. The program aims to train graduates in solving future challenges related to sustainable food production, renewable resource extraction, and dealing with environmental and climate impacts. Emphasis is placed on understanding biological, technological, and economic components of agriculture. The program enables students to specialize flexibly in related disciplines (e.g., plant breeding, animal production, biotechnological development, ecosystem management) and develop strong interdisciplinary and problem-solving skills necessary for sustainable agriculture, food security, and climate resilience.
