The Master's program in Molecular Biotechnology at the Technical University of Munich (School of Life Sciences) focuses on the production and design of natural and artificial biomolecules as central elements of modern biotechnology. The curriculum is centered on five core topics: biomolecules, cells, organisms, medicine, and technology. Students receive interdisciplinary training in areas such as protein engineering, molecular microbiology, and structure-based bioinformatics, and learn to apply advanced genetic, biochemical, and bioinformatic methods. Graduates are equipped to independently identify and address research questions, conduct experiments, and critically evaluate results—preparing them for careers in academia, research, or the biotechnology industry.
