The Bachelor of Science in Food Technology at the School of Life Sciences, Technical University of Munich covers the engineering, biological, technological, biochemical, and economic aspects of food production. The program provides comprehensive knowledge from raw material and quality management, through manufacturing processes and automation, to product development and packaging technology. Students are trained in the basics (biology, chemistry, mathematics, physics) in the first year, then progress to specialized engineering and food technology topics including technical mechanics, biochemistry, food chemistry, microbiology, and process engineering. The program combines theory with laboratory internships and practical projects.
