This dual degree allows students to combine the creative, critical thinking, and wide-ranging elective possibilities of the Bachelor of Arts with the distinctive applied social analysis of the Bachelor of Social Science. Graduates gain versatile skills across humanities, social sciences, and languages, and specialise in disciplines such as policy analysis, development studies, and addressing contemporary social challenges (poverty, inequality, health, climate change). The program is designed to broaden horizons and enhance employability in a rapidly changing job market, developing transferable people and enterprise skills to meet future industry demands. The structure requires the completion of two Arts majors (or an extended major and minor), and a focused sequence of Social Science courses built around development, environment and society, or health and social policy themes.
