As technology rapidly advances and business risks intensify, the M.L.S. in Cybersecurity, Risk, and Governance at Boston College Law School (beginning Fall 2025) prepares both lawyers and non-lawyers with interdisciplinary expertise in the legal, management, and technical dimensions of cybersecurity, data privacy, and AI regulation. The 10-course curriculum integrates law, policy, and business-focused topics, offering core and elective subjects such as U.S. law, risk governance, AI & privacy, network security, cybercrime, national security investigations, and more. The program is designed for advancing or transitioning professionals to leadership positions in private and public sectors, with instruction from industry and legal practitioners. Graduates are equipped to bridge legal and tech/C-suite communications and to manage cyber risk in compliance with global and U.S. regulatory frameworks (e.g., SEC, FTC, GDPR, CMMC 2.0).
