The Master of Science in Nuclear Engineering is a joint program between ETH Zurich and EPF Lausanne, with significant collaboration from the Paul Scherrer Institute. The curriculum is highly interdisciplinary, covering topics such as nuclear and reactor physics, radiation protection, reactor safety, thermo-fluid dynamics, nuclear materials, nuclear fuel cycle, and applications in medicine and industry, as well as nuclear fusion. The first semester takes place at EPFL, the second semester at ETH Zurich, and the third semester includes a research project and industrial internship at the Paul Scherrer Institute. The fourth semester is devoted to the Master's thesis. The program aims to prepare students for advanced roles in nuclear technology, research, and industrial applications, with a strong focus on safety, sustainability, and innovation in energy systems.
