The MACIS is a research-oriented master’s program jointly offered by ETH Zurich (lead institution) and the University of Zurich. It emphasizes rigorous, interdisciplinary training in political science with a focus on questions of democracy, political violence, political economy, and sustainable development. Teaching is entirely in English. Students receive advanced methodological training in both qualitative and quantitative research. The program fosters close interactions with faculty and offers small cohort sizes, providing a stimulating academic environment for those pursuing academic or policy-oriented careers.
