The Master of Science in Speech-Language Pathology at Stony Brook University’s School of Health Professions (Southampton Campus) is a rigorous, fully-accredited program preparing students for practice across a wide array of environments, including hospitals, rehabilitation facilities, schools, and private practice. Through didactic courses and multiple clinical rotations, students gain hands-on experience with diverse populations and disorders such as ALS, stroke, Parkinson’s Disease, autism, and cleft palate. The program features a cohort model fostering collaboration and community, and offers specialty tracks for NYS teaching certification and bilingual extension. Graduates are eligible for New York licensure and ASHA certification, and are trained to serve multicultural populations with a focus on evidence-based, ethical practice and advocacy.
