Stony Brook University’s Master of Arts in Political Psychology (MA) is an in-person, full-time graduate program starting Fall 2025. The program is designed for intellectually curious students interested in the interface of politics and psychology. It focuses on training in state-of-the-art statistics, research methods, and theories from both political science and psychology to understand public opinion, moral politics, emotions in politics, and the intersection with behavioral economics. Faculty are internationally recognized in political psychology. Graduates typically pursue careers in political campaigns, government, media, polling, non-profits, or continue to PhD programs.
