The Master of Science in Biomedical Sciences at the University of Amsterdam, Faculty of Medicine, is a two-year, full-time program taught entirely in English. The program offers two primary clusters: Medical Biology and Neurobiology, and provides a flexible, interdisciplinary curriculum closely affiliated with the Amsterdam UMC (University Medical Centers) and the Swammerdam Institute for Life Sciences (SILS). Students can specialize in a range of biomedical fields and are trained to become independent researchers, taking part in advanced research projects, literature review, and practical laboratory work. Graduates are qualified for both academic and non-academic careers worldwide, including positions in research, management, science communication, and policy analysis.
