The Bachelor of Medicine at the Faculty of Medicine, University of Amsterdam (Amsterdam UMC) is the foundation phase of the Dutch integrated medical program. The Bachelor’s takes three years and focuses on basic medical sciences, anatomy, physiology, and early clinical exposure. The curriculum is patient-oriented, context-based, and employs innovative teaching strategies such as blended learning and flipped classroom models. Upon completion of the Bachelor's, students continue to the three-year Master of Medicine program to attain full qualification as a physician in the Netherlands. The Bachelor's program is taught in Dutch, with only a few electives/minors available in English.
