The Bachelor of Health Sciences (Honours) - Child Health Specialization at McMaster University provides an interdisciplinary approach to health, wellness, and illness with a focus on child health. The program integrates biology, behaviour, and population health perspectives and includes core courses in statistics, epidemiology, cell biology, health attitudes and behaviour, medical literature appraisal, and health systems. Students develop inquiry skills applicable to child health, development, and community involvement, preparing them for leadership roles in health fields or postgraduate study. The program offers hands-on exposure to various departments within the Faculty of Health Sciences, such as Medicine, Pathology, Psychiatry, and Clinical Epidemiology. Small class sizes promote collaboration and close contact with faculty.
