The Master of Engineering in Systems Innovation program at the University of Tokyo equips students to address complex challenges involving human society, technology, and nature. With a foundation in system science, the curriculum fosters multilateral and panoramic perspectives, integrating conventional engineering disciplines to realize innovative systems harmonized with societal and environmental needs. Coursework and research are primarily delivered in English, with optional Japanese language study. The program focuses on four priority areas: information and complexity science, resilience engineering, social systems, and environment, and incorporates both lectures and independent research. The Department is internationally oriented, offering substantial support to overseas students and promoting interdisciplinary research.
