The Master of Engineering (Nuclear Engineering) at Kyoto University's Faculty of Engineering is designed to train advanced researchers and engineers capable of making contributions in energy, materials, life sciences, and environmental technology. The curriculum balances core topics in quantum science, energy, and engineering, covering areas such as quantum beams, nanotechnology, nuclear energy conversion, materials safety and recycling, nuclear fusion, waste management, and advanced reactor systems. Research activities are organized into four major groups: Quantum and Energy Engineering Science, Quantum and Energy Materials Science, Quantum and System Engineering Science, and Basic Quantum Engineering Science. Graduates are equipped to contribute to both academia and industry, especially in fields requiring advanced nuclear and quantum engineering expertise.
