The Master’s Degree in Biological Anthropology at the University of Barcelona, Faculty of Biology, offers advanced, research-oriented training in human biodiversity, its origins, evolution, and biomedical implications. The curriculum emphasizes both theoretical and applied learning, especially in osteology, molecular biology, and computational analysis. Students can choose from two specializations: Physical and Forensic Anthropology, or Molecular Anthropology and Biomedical Applications. The program is designed for graduates in experimental sciences or humanities seeking expertise in topics such as forensic anthropology, prehistoric human evolution, biomedical genetics, and population studies. Over half the content involves applied laboratory and fieldwork, and there are opportunities for collaboration with businesses and outside research institutions. Instruction is in Catalan, Spanish, and English.
