The Bachelor of Public Health at the University of Wollongong (UOW) Faculty of Science, Medicine and Health teaches the scientific, social, and policy aspects of public health. Students gain skills in obtaining, analysing, and managing health information, planning and managing health programs, and designing solutions to improve the health of populations. The program emphasizes the prevention of disease, promotion of healthy environments, and public health communication. Graduates are equipped to work across the health sector, with eligibility for full membership in the Public Health Association of Australia. High-achieving students may enter an honours year to undertake research training.
