The LL.M. in Global Energy, International Arbitration & Environmental Law at The University of Texas at Austin’s School of Law is designed for lawyers and law graduates interested in careers in the global energy industry, dispute resolution, and environmental policy. The program leverages the resources of the Kay Bailey Hutchison Center for Energy, Law and Business, providing interdisciplinary and practical training across the interconnected areas of energy production and regulation, international arbitration (both commercial and investor-state), and environmental regulation and advocacy. Students may concentrate in one or two of the focus tracks or complete an integrative curriculum that combines all three, taking required foundational courses and advanced electives, including seminars and clinics. The program emphasizes real-world application, scholarly engagement with UT’s journals, and networking in Texas’ leading energy sector.
