The Penn State Smeal College of Business Master of Finance (MFIN) program is a STEM-designated, immersive, one-year (9 months) graduate program designed to prepare students for professional finance roles such as financial analysts, managers, loan officers, and personal financial advisors. The program is structured into two academic semesters divided into 7-week modules, with a rigorous curriculum covering corporate strategy, valuation, market analysis, capital budgeting, mergers and acquisitions, investment analysis, and more. The program curriculum covers 75% of the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) Exam content and offers experiential learning, small class sizes (maximum 60 students), and dedicated career services. It is suitable for students with little to no background in business or finance.
