The Bachelor of Science in Rehabilitation and Human Services (RHS) at The Pennsylvania State University trains students to improve the quality of life for individuals impacted by disabilities and other challenges. Students develop skills to advocate for, assess, and support diverse populations across the lifespan—those facing psychosocial, physical, mental, educational, vocational, and recreational obstacles. Curriculum covers counseling, treatment planning, resource identification, group facilitation, consulting, interviewing, conflict management, and connecting clients to community resources. Graduates pursue work in community mental health, group homes, corrections, schools, drug programs, hospitals, and rehabilitation centers, or advance to graduate studies in related fields such as counseling, occupational/physical therapy, and psychology.
