The Bachelor of Science in Energy Engineering at The Pennsylvania State University's College of Engineering is designed to provide a foundation in engineering fundamentals with application to energy systems and technology. The program covers the production, processing, storage, distribution, and utilization of energy through synthesis, analysis, design, and case studies. The curriculum integrates core physical sciences—such as chemistry, physics, mathematics—and incorporates elements of economics, policy, management, and environmental impact. Students engage in lab experiences, inquiry-based teaching, and benefit from research-active faculty. The program offers flexibility for tailored study, opportunities for dual degrees/minors, and is accredited by ABET. Graduates are prepared for careers in energy, research, management, and policy, or further graduate studies.
