Underwood International College (UIC) at Yonsei University offers the Bachelor of Comparative Literature and Culture (CLC) through its Underwood Division. This interdisciplinary program integrates the study of world literary traditions with critical theory, film, and contemporary popular culture. CLC students analyze classical and modern materials—including Chinese poetry, postcolonial novels, French poststructuralist theory, and K-pop—exploring issues of cultural identity, hybridity, and global and media literacy. The curriculum covers both national literatures and comparative cultural studies, preparing students for careers or further academic study in fields such as literature, arts, creative writing, media, law, and business. Courses are taught entirely in English by faculty specializing in Asian, European, and American literature. Students live in the Yonsei International Campus during their first year before moving to the Sinchon Campus.
