The Master of Social Science in Social Work (MSSc) at the Faculty of Social Science, The Chinese University of Hong Kong, is a professional training programme leading to a professional qualification in social work. Graduation confers eligibility to become a Registered Social Worker (RSW) in Hong Kong. The programme is specifically designed for students who hold a bachelor's degree in fields other than social work and are seeking a career in social work through postgraduate training. It provides a solid conceptual and theoretical foundation in social work practice, along with skills, values, and ethics integral to the profession. Coursework is combined with mandatory supervised practicums in two different social service organizations to ensure high-quality experiential learning.
