The BSocSc in International Relations and Global Affairs at the College of Liberal Arts and Social Sciences, City University of Hong Kong, is a four-year undergraduate program examining Asia’s place in contemporary world politics and Hong Kong’s role in the global context. The curriculum develops students’ knowledge of socio-political, economic, and cultural processes in Asian countries, enhances critical reasoning and problem-solving skills, and deepens regional and global perspectives. The program provides interdisciplinary training in social research and offers practical experiences, such as overseas exchanges and internships in various sectors. Faculty come from diverse backgrounds in sociology, anthropology, and political science. Students may apply for a Joint Bachelor’s Degree Program with Columbia University during their second year, gaining degrees from both institutions.
