This double degree, jointly offered by the Department of Social and Behavioural Sciences (College of Liberal Arts and Social Sciences) and the School of Law, is the only UGC-funded programme of its kind in Hong Kong. It equips graduates with broad interdisciplinary knowledge in crime science and law. The curriculum focuses on scientific and legal research, developing practical and ethical ways to reduce crime and increase societal security. It covers key concepts in criminology, crime science, and law, and trains students to conduct research, apply analytical methods, and participate in policy making, law enforcement, security services, correctional work, and legal professions.
