The MSc in Dental Anaesthesia at the University of Toronto is a three-year, full-time graduate program tailored for dentists who wish to specialize in dental anaesthesia. The program provides intensive training in the full spectrum of sedation and anaesthetic techniques with a focus on deep sedation and general anaesthesia for dental patients. Teaching takes place in multiple settings, including the Faculty of Dentistry, the Department of Anaesthesia at the Temerty Faculty of Medicine, and affiliated teaching hospitals (Michael Garron Hospital, Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre, and the Hospital for Sick Children). The curriculum consists of 15.0 required full-course equivalents (FCEs), 2.0 elective FCEs, research practicum, and significant residency/clinical rotations. Graduates are eligible for specialty licensure exams and board certification in Ontario and North America.
