The M.Ed. in Curriculum and Instruction – Teacher Leadership Emphasis: Arts Integration Specialization at University of Maryland College Park is designed for classroom teachers and arts teachers seeking to integrate the arts with core academic subjects, enriching learning and fostering critical and creative thinking. The program features an interdisciplinary curriculum, experiential engagement with arts forms, lesson and curriculum development in clinical settings, and global opportunities such as a summer session focused on drama integration abroad. It is research-driven and supports both beginning and experienced educators in developing advanced pedagogical and leadership skills within arts integration. The program includes 15 credits of core courses, 15 credits of arts integration coursework (total 30 credits), completion of a professional portfolio and a seminar paper.
