The Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education at Michigan State University College of Education is a four-year undergraduate program designed to prepare professional elementary teachers. The program is nationally ranked No. 1 for elementary teacher education and emphasizes developing teaching leaders through a curriculum focused on all core content areas (math, science, literacy, social studies) for grades PK–3 or 3–6, with additional depth in a selected endorsement area (ESL or Birth-K). Students engage in coursework rooted in equity and social justice, fieldwork, and a full-year guided teaching internship in a public school following completion of the degree.
