NYU Shanghai and the NYU Silver School of Social Work jointly offer a global MSW in which students complete a generalist practice curriculum in Shanghai followed by a specialized clinical social work curriculum in New York City. The program emphasizes culturally responsive practice through extended immersion in both Shanghai and New York, includes 900 total practicum hours for cohorts beginning Fall 2024 or later, and offers bilingual practicum opportunities in Shanghai focused on emerging social issues in China alongside complementary US-based clinical and social issues in New York.
