NYU College of Arts & Science (CAS) and NYU Tandon School of Engineering offer a five-year dual-degree program that awards two Bachelor of Science degrees: a BS from CAS (Physics major) and a BS from Tandon (Computer Engineering). The program is designed for technically oriented students to combine a liberal arts science major with traditional engineering training. Students must begin the prescribed dual-degree coursework in the first year; they complete the CAS College Core Curriculum (foreign language requirement is exempted, and required math/science satisfy Foundations of Scientific Inquiry). Detailed plans of study and required courses are provided in the NYU Bulletin, including sample term-by-term schedules and a total credit load of approximately 161–165 credits upon completion.
