NYU College of Arts & Science (CAS) offers a five-year dual-degree program with the NYU Tandon School of Engineering enabling qualified, technically oriented students to complete a liberal arts curriculum at CAS with a major in mathematics alongside a traditional engineering curriculum in computer engineering at Tandon, culminating in two BS degrees—one from CAS and one from Tandon. Students must begin the prescribed dual-degree coursework in the first year; CAS Core Curriculum is required except the foreign language requirement (fulfilled by program structure), and required math/science courses satisfy the Core’s Foundations of Scientific Inquiry.
