This is a selective, interdisciplinary CAS joint major (co-major) that combines public health with anthropology. It trains students to analyze cultural traditions through a health lens, examine relationships among economic, political, cultural, physical, and biological environments, and apply anthropological approaches to public health problems. Global public health coursework is offered by NYU’s School of Global Public Health; the curriculum integrates experiential learning and a required study away semester to prepare graduates for careers or advanced study in public health, anthropology, or related fields .
