NYU College of Arts & Science’s Department of Environmental Studies provides an integrated, problem‑oriented curriculum across disciplines to equip students with the breadth of understanding and skills to address environmental questions and build a sustainable future from local to global scales. Students can develop focused interests in environmental studies; environmental values, policy, and law; urban environmental problems; climate change; energy systems; environmental justice; and relationships with domesticated and wild nature.
