NYU School of Global Public Health (GPH) offers thirteen undergraduate combined majors (co-majors) in collaboration with NYU schools. The Global Public Health/Sociology co-major integrates six GPH core courses, combined-major electives, a 90-hour experiential learning internship, and a required semester at an NYU global site, alongside the full requirements of the Sociology major in the College of Arts & Science. The GPH co-major is not a standalone major and must be paired with a degree-granting bachelor’s program. The curriculum emphasizes interdisciplinary training that blends research, policy, and practice to prepare students for roles in not-for-profits, government, social service agencies, and international health programs, and for further study at the master’s and doctoral levels.
