NYU’s School of Global Public Health (GPH) offers thirteen undergraduate combined majors (co-majors) that pair public health with a degree-granting program across NYU schools. The Global Public Health/Global Liberal Studies co-major is not a standalone major; it must be combined with the GLS bachelor’s degree. All GPH co-majors complete six public health core courses (24 credits), one to three combined-major electives, a 90-hour experiential learning internship, and a required semester-long study away at an NYU global site. The curriculum blends research, policy, and practice to build conceptual foundations and real-world experience, preparing students for roles in NGOs, government, social services, international health programs, and for graduate study in public health (e.g., MPH).
