NYU’s School of Global Public Health (GPH) offers thirteen undergraduate combined majors (co-majors) in partnership with NYU schools. The Global Public Health/Media, Culture, and Communication (with Steinhardt) is an interdisciplinary co-major that must be paired with a degree-granting bachelor’s program; it is not a standalone major. All GPH co-majors complete six public health core courses (24 credits), one to three combined major electives, 90 hours of a public health experiential learning internship, and a semester-long study away at an NYU global site. The program integrates research, policy, and practice to prepare students for roles in not-for-profits, government, social service, and international health, and serves as strong preparation for graduate study, including NYU’s MPH.
