NYU School of Global Public Health (GPH) offers thirteen interdisciplinary undergraduate combined majors, including Global Public Health/Social Work with the Silver School of Social Work. The GPH co‑major is not a standalone major; it must be combined with a degree‑granting bachelor’s program in CAS, Liberal Studies, Nursing (Meyers), Silver, or Steinhardt. All GPH co‑majors complete six public health core courses (24 credits), one to three combined‑major electives, a minimum of 90 hours of public health experiential learning (internship), and a semester‑long study away at an NYU global site. The curriculum integrates research, policy, and practice to build conceptual and theoretical foundations alongside real‑world experience, preparing graduates for roles in not‑for‑profits, government, social service agencies, and international health programs, as well as advanced study (e.g., MPH).
