The Master of Social Work (MSW) program at Ohio State University College of Social Work prepares students for advanced social work practice across diverse contexts, including individual, family, group, organization, and community systems. The program emphasizes evidence-informed practice, leadership, and advocacy for social, economic, and ecological justice. The Community and Social Justice Area of Emphasis provides sequential coursework focused on systems-level intervention, empowering students to become change agents who effectively address complex social problems. Coursework is strengths-based and informed by current research. Students choose between the Traditional (for those without a BSW) or Advanced Standing (for recent BSW graduates) tracks, both available on-campus and online. The College is accredited by CSWE.
