The Bachelor of Arts in Hebrew and Jewish Studies at The Ohio State University's College of Arts and Sciences offers a comprehensive curriculum in Hebrew language (from elementary to proficiency), Jewish studies, literature, philosophy, and history. Students can choose one of two specialist tracks: a Hebrew track—focusing on spoken and written modern Hebrew, grammar, and reading original texts—or a Jewish Studies track, emphasizing Jewish history, philosophy, literature, and culture. The program features internationally recognized faculty, a robust selection of interdisciplinary courses, access to one of the largest Judaica library collections in the country, and encourages study abroad at leading Israeli universities. Graduates are prepared for diverse careers in education, translation, government, media, Jewish community organizations, and more.
