From September 2025, the University of St Andrews Faculty of Medicine will offer a direct-entry 5-year MB ChB undergraduate degree. This program delivers comprehensive medical education, starting with foundational sciences and progressing to full clinical training with particular emphasis on community healthcare and placements within NHS Fife. The first years focus on biomedical sciences, communication and clinical skills, and gradual exposure to patient care, transitioning to immersive clinical training in hospitals and community settings.
