The Process Systems Engineering graduate program at the University of Regina focuses on advanced training in process engineering for industries such as energy, biofuels, petroleum refining, and environmental management. The MASc (Master of Applied Science) is a research-oriented program requiring a thesis, whereas the MEng (Master of Engineering) focuses on project work or co-op and is oriented toward practicing engineers. Students in the program study advanced reaction engineering, mass/heat transfer, and numerical methods, and gain skills in simulation, modeling, and application of artificial intelligence in process systems. Research and laboratory facilities support specialization in areas such as CO2 capture, hydrogen energy, bio and fossil fuels, and materials characterization. Graduates are well prepared for roles in design, production, research, and engineering management in process industries.
