The Master of Music (MMus) in Performance (Orchestral and Keyboard Instruments) at the University of Regina’s Faculty of Media, Art, and Performance provides advanced, individualized instruction to help students master their instrument through one-on-one mentorship, rigorous performance study, and comprehensive development of technique and repertoire. The program hones applied skills, performance practice, and offers preparation for professional performance careers or advanced academic study, focusing on the Classical repertoire spanning the last 500 years of Western art music. Students are required to complete ensemble work, chamber music, directed studies in music literature, a seminar in theory and methods, and a major research or performance project.
