The Bachelor of Fine Arts (Indigenous Art) at the University of Regina’s Faculty of Media, Art, and Performance is grounded in the knowledge and appreciation of fine arts across Indigenous cultures of the Americas. The program prepares students with studio-based and theory courses in both traditional and contemporary Indigenous art forms, including explorations in Indigenous studio practice, Pre-Columbian art, and Indigenous art in the 20th century. The program offers hands-on development in communication, writing, research, and critical thinking in social, cultural, and natural contexts. Graduates are equipped for careers as artists, art historians, critics, educators, curators, and community leaders.
